DESCRIPTION:Detroit  Bourbon Fest is an indoor bourbon festival that will feature 100+ whiskeys  for GA  section and  20  rare bourbons in VIP section.\n\n\n\nThe Inaugural Detroit Bourbon Fest is on Saturday\, April 4th. There are two sessions with Session One from 4pm to 7pm and Session Two from 8pm to 11pm.  \nDetroit Bourbon Fest is an indoor bourbon festival hosted at Boat House on Belle Isle (E Picnic Way\, Detroit\, MI 48207) . This festival will feature 100+ whiskeys\, 30+ store picks & high-end bottle section. The majority of the list is bourbon but there will be a few non-bourbon options such as rye whiskey\, Tennessee whiskey and Japanese whiskey. In addition to the great whiskey selection\, we will have a food truck\, live music\, vendors and more! \nEvent Proceeds Benefit The Friends of the River \n The Friends of the River is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit that works to improve water quality\, access\, and awareness on the Rivers in Michigan. We implement these goals in a number of ways. A few examples would be by getting our hands dirty and hosting regular river clean ups. Or when we work with communities to help provide docking for recreational boats of all sizes from kayaks to larger power boats. We also host and attend events regarding the rivers in order to help keep communities aware of just how important our rivers and water resources are.

Their art and artifacts are important in understanding African rulership and how it both influenced and is different from other cultures’ ideas of rulership. \nPlease join Black Scroll Network History & Tours‘ historian and educator\,Jamon Jordan\, on a tour of the Royal and Dynastic artifacts in the ancient Egyptian and African exhibits at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA).  \nThis tour will give an IN-DEPTH lesson in African culture and history and how it helps us to understand and interpret the African art and artifacts in the ancient Egyptian and African galleries at the DIA. \nWe will meet at the John R. entrance of the DIA. Rowland\, we’ll see work unlike any other in the world on this jaunt through downtown. \nOn Fridays\, the tour starts promptly at 12pm. Please allow yourself a sufficient amount of time to find parking and arrive at the meeting point. \nHave a group of 10 or more?
