DESCRIPTION:Detroit  Bourbon Fest is an indoor bourbon festival that will feature 100+ whiskeys  for GA  section and  20  rare bourbons in VIP section.\n\n\n\nThe Inaugural Detroit Bourbon Fest is on Saturday\, April 4th. There are two sessions with Session One from 4pm to 7pm and Session Two from 8pm to 11pm.  \nDetroit Bourbon Fest is an indoor bourbon festival hosted at Boat House on Belle Isle (E Picnic Way\, Detroit\, MI 48207) . This festival will feature 100+ whiskeys\, 30+ store picks & high-end bottle section. The majority of the list is bourbon but there will be a few non-bourbon options such as rye whiskey\, Tennessee whiskey and Japanese whiskey. In addition to the great whiskey selection\, we will have a food truck\, live music\, vendors and more! \nEvent Proceeds Benefit The Friends of the River \n The Friends of the River is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit that works to improve water quality\, access\, and awareness on the Rivers in Michigan. We implement these goals in a number of ways. A few examples would be by getting our hands dirty and hosting regular river clean ups. Or when we work with communities to help provide docking for recreational boats of all sizes from kayaks to larger power boats. We also host and attend events regarding the rivers in order to help keep communities aware of just how important our rivers and water resources are.

Each demonstration will feature local chefs who will be preparing a specific dish with products provided by Eastern Market vendors. There will be a tasting of all dishes prepared along with a recipe/ingredient card accompanying each dish for attendees.\nThe second series will be a ticketed event with space for 35 attendees each. Attendees will have a special intimate cooking demonstration experience with the guest chef. Each attendee will receive a drawing ticket for a chance to win gift baskets\, dinner at the restaurant of the guest chef\, and special giveaways provided by the Eastern Market Corporation & edible WOW Magazine.\nThe mission of Eastern Market’s cooking demonstrations and nutrition education efforts is to teach the community how to shop and eat from the market seasonally. In 2018\, Eastern Market served over 1\,400 patrons through our cooking class program. This year\, we intend to exceed 2\,000 patrons between cooking classes and edible WOW demonstrations.
