Classy Wino 101: White Wines for the Win

As a follow-up to our popular and sold-out “Classy Wino: Red Red Wine” class in March, we will take a look next at three of the most common white wine varietals, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chenin Blanc. Join us as we explore how white wines are made, the main regions and styles where these grapes are grown, and a tasting through these different varietals.

The Royce’s “Classy Wino 101” series aims to demystify the vast world of wine in a fun yet educational way, starting with the basics. Instructor: Giordana Sobel. Giordana is a Detroit-based wine educator and marketer who has lived, worked, and tasted around in the world. With a Masters in Wine Marketing from France, she has worked for a winery in Tuscany, has completed harvests in Australia and Napa, and done consulting and exporting work everywhere else and in-between. She is a Certified Specialist in Wine (CSW) and holds her WSET Level III certificate.
